Self Motivation Tips to Live the Life of Your Dreams

Do you want to live the life of your dreams? If so, then it will take some self-motivation tips to help get you there. Self motivation tips are everywhere, when you go seeking them. Here are a few self motivation tips that help me live the life of my dreams.

Self Motivation Tip: First let’s understand that no one can motivate you, only you can motivate you - that is self motivation. Self motivation can also be external, which is never lasting, or it can be internal, which is ever lasting. Live your life from the inside out, not the outside in for permanent self motivation.

I was never exposed to self motivation tips until I was around 18 years old. At age 22 I was de-motivated. I was fed up with the way my life was going, so I called into work sick. That day I took out a pad of paper and asked myself some important questions.

Bob, what do you want out of life? What do you want to be, do or have?

To answer the above questions, I started writing. Within minutes I said to myself, why not pretend that nothing is impossible, no barriers, no limitations, no fears, nothing can stop me from having what I want to be do or have as the pencil in my hand is a magic wand. However, only what is written within the next 24 hours can become a reality. If it is not written, it cannot happen.

Self Motivation tip: If you do not know where you want to go, or what you want to be, do or have, you will not get there. Success is the progressive realization of a goal - a dream that we would like to achieve in the future. However, it is only a dream until it is written. Crystallization of a dream begins with writing. Start writing out your dreams, as if nothing was impossible, no barriers, no limitations, or fears.

Twenty four hours later my list was complete. That was all I wanted out of life. I then reviewed my dream list for the next few months, only to one day loose it. As much as I searched every corner, I could not locate it. It was eighteen years later, when we moved into our new home, that I found it hidden behind a piece of heavy furniture.

I was thrilled to see it. I immediately read it. Everything I read amazed me. As I read each dream I was saying to myself, been there, done that, haven’t accomplished that but it is amazing how this is still part of my plan.

Self Motivation Tip: Review your list of dreams often. Make it a daily habit. Dreams are the foundation to self motivation, but it also requires those dreams to be written, planned out, visualized and to put into action.

The Bottom Line – Self motivation from within is the best motivation of all. Take the time to write out your dreams, from the inside out, as if nothing is impossible, no barriers, limitations or fears. Then review them often.
